The kind that even movies get wrong.
Have you ever been in so much love
that the entire universe bows at your feet
and obeys your every command?
Have you ever been in love
and known without the slightest doubt
that this person is your soul mate?
Love where miles become nothing
and the future becomes today.
Where you would...
and do...
do anything for them?
A glance in the eyes is enough to make the heavens pour.
A touch of the hand enough to send stars shooting across the sky.
Simply being there is enough to render
every single bad memory of the past
into com
I sigh as I watch the red running down my body
tracing my curves as outlines
to show who I am rather than who I want to be.
It pools at my feet
becoming diluted in the water that flows endlessly from the shower head
washing it all away.
This is me starting over
becoming someone new
becoming who I should have been in the first place rather than who I turned out to be.
I am floating along in a thunderstorm
grasping on to what little hope I have left
like wisps of clouds
they float away.
When you speak to me without being upset
my hope grows and I get a better hold
and then they told me
you lied.
Like a lightning strike it hits
blowing apart everything keeping me afloat
everything keeping my hope
and I fall.
Reality is no longer real,
the truth is untrue,
but still...
in the pain,
the deceit,
the avoidable hurt had you not lied,
I love you with an undying love that kills me.
